NEW YORK – January 22, 2019 – Team Rogue, in partnership with Find Your Grind (FYG) and backed by ReKTGlobal, is now accepting applications for the second semester of Junior Rogue. Junior Rogue is a semesterly professional gaming accelerator program that gives young Fortnite players a direct path to start pursuing their dreams. Applicants selected for the program will receive mentorship from Rogue’s professional Fortnite team, a $500 scholarship, access to industry experts from a wide variety of backgrounds, and other resources unique to the Junior Rogue program. Applications are due on February 4, 2019, and the semester launches March 4, 2019.
Highlights of Junior Rogue’s first semester included:
• Two Junior Rogue graduates immediately joining professional esports organizations
• Overall improvement in players’ streaming setups and follower milestones on Twitch
• Meeting the Rogue Fortnite team and captain DrLupo in person at TwitchCon 2018
• Several players competed in Fortnite’s biggest events of the season, including Fall Skirmish and Winter Royale
According to Rogue Fortnite players and staff, all first semester Junior Rogue players showed marked improvement from when they started the program. Junior Rogue mentors anticipate similar success for those admitted into the program’s second semester.
“We’re extremely proud of our first semester Junior Rogue graduates and the progress they made through the mentorship of the Junior Rogue program,” says Nick Gross, founder of Find Your Grind. “Now we’re on the hunt for new amateur players to join Junior Rogue and pursue their passion for gaming and Fortnite.”
The Find Your Grind Foundation plans to continue outreach to the many young people looking to find their future in gaming. Due to its massive popularity, Fortnite has become an excellent teaching tool, as well as a level playing field for gamers of all backgrounds.
Applications for Junior Rogue are now open through February 4, 2019. Junior Rogue is currently open to residents of the U.S. and registered U.S. territories.
